Setting up Microsoft Authenticator App

Download and Install the App:

Go to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and search for "Microsoft Authenticator."
Download and install the app on your mobile device.

Add Your Account:
- Open the Microsoft Authenticator app.
- Tap the + icon to add an account.
- Select Work or school account or Personal account based on your needs.

Scan the QR Code:
- On your computer, go to the security settings of your Microsoft account.
- Select Add a new way to sign in or verify and choose Use an app.
- A QR code will be displayed on your screen.
- Use the Microsoft Authenticator app to scan the QR code.

Complete the Setup:

- You may be asked to approve a test notification to ensure everything is working correctly.

Backup and Recovery:
- Add your phone number as a backup in case you lose access to the app.
- This ensures you can still verify your identity if needed.
